Feeling anxious about the dentist visit next week? Well, that is a normal feeling.
The dentist can be nerve-racking! Laying back with your mouth open, and a doctor examining if you take care of your teeth. Knowing full well they know exactly if you did or didn’t without asking you. The teeth don’t lie!
So, here are a few things to keep in mind if you feel the dentist jitters.
First off, EVERYONE feels a tad nervous about the dentist. Will it hurt? Do I have cavities? Is the Dentist going to notice I don’t floss every day?
Pretty much everyone thinks like that.
Secondly, your teeth aren’t that bad. Think about it, Dentists see a lot of mouths; the likelihood of yours being the worst are so tiny! You probably just need to floss more and let up on the pressure when you brush.
Lastly, you can do anything for an hour. A majority of checkups don’t last much more than that. You’ve done harder things for much longer.
It’s okay to feel hesitant and antsy about it, but know these three things and maybe next time you’ll walk in calm, relaxed, and ready to get your teeth cleaned.
