Dental Implants

If you are concerned about missing teeth or dislike wearing dentures, contact us to schedule a consultation. Dr. Peter Juriansz does restorative dentistry, and can help you achieve a beautiful smile using dental implants.

What Are Dental Implants?

Reconstructive dentistry uses implants to hold the place of a tooth that has fallen out or been removed due to decay. The implant is made of metal and is attached to the bone of the jaw to provide foundation for a synthetic tooth, bridge or dentures.

Implants work best on patients who have good bone density and a healthy immune system. While implants are a solution for some, not everyone is a candidate from implants. Contact us in our Brookline dental office to find out if implants are right for you.

How Do Dental Implants Work?

Implants are designed to mimic the feel and look of your natural teeth, and are usually made of synthetic material that is biocompatible such as ceramic or metal. If you are a candidate for dental implants you will have surgery to prepare you for the implant and to place it in your mouth. Once your implant is healed, Dr. Juriansz will place a restorative abutment and crown. Implants have a very natural look and feel, and function as if they were your real teeth.
