The holidays tend to be a fun but stressful time. From buying gifts, to baking, to holiday parties, there always seems to be less hours in the day than normal. Lucky for anyone who is behind on it all (ME!), I found a dessert recipe that is easy, (somewhat) healthy, and delicious to make your holiday season a little easier.
At my last holiday party, I was short on time so I decided to make a no bake chocolate and trail mix bar. They were a hit! Not only did they only require two ingredients, they were also super easy to make.
Ingredients:
Chocolate Chips
Cranberry Trail Mix
Steps:
- Lay down wax paper on a cookie sheet
- Melt one bag (or two depending on how much you want to make) of chocolate chips in the microwave or stove
- Pour it evenly all over the wax paper, about 1-2 inches thick
- Sprinkle trail mix evenly over the chocolate
- Put in freezer for about 45 minutes
- Cut Bars into desired size
- Enjoy!
Not only are these easy and delicious, they are also a healthier dessert option for the holidays! You can choose whatever kind of chocolate and trail mix you want. I personally loved the cranberry trail mix from Stop & Shop because it added a holiday feel to them. There is no wrong way to make these and your guests will love this chocolate and nuts treat!
